ABOUT

Contains over 70,000 acres of public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Within this is the 27,245-acre Cache Creek Wilderness. Cache Creek is an 87-mile stream originating in Clear Lake popular for fishing and rafting. There are several trails within the Natural Area which can be accessed from State Routes 20 and 16. There is little sun protection in the Natural Area with its mixture of chaparral, grasslands, and dispersed oak trees. Mountain biking is prohibited in the Wilderness Area, but there are several trails in the Natural Area accessible in Colusa and Yolo Counties.
